Update: I wrote a review for the e-book that brought on this awesome dream. Check it out here.
I am super excited because I had my first legitimate lucid dream last night. In case you don’t know, lucid dreaming is the act of becoming aware that you’re dreaming, while you’re still dreaming, so that you can do anything you want. To summarize, I had my first flying experience, I fought tons of monsters like in a video game, I received invaluable information from my subconscious, and I even almost had a dream shag, all in one dream!
I’ve had a couple of lucid dreams on my own before, but they were very short. The dream I experienced the other night was in-depth and expansive. I had it due to an e-book I recently started reading called The Art of Lucid Dreaming. I’m going to write an official review of it soon, but I can say with certainty right now that it’s a quality work and is directly responsible for the dream you’re about to read.
My Dream Before I Became Lucid
I’m still new at exploring my dream world, so my memory isn’t perfect here. I don’t remember exactly what I was going before I consciously realized I was dreaming, but it wasn’t anything important. Some of the usual unconscious dreaming stuff. I was probably running from a monster in my undies or something.
Then.. it happened. A contradiction came in the dream that I trained myself to look for, and I became lucid. Instead of freaking out and jumping out a window (which woke me up from my lucid dream last time- doh!) I remained calm. Suddenly, the dream that I was having disappeared entirely, and I was in a sort of dream void.
The Dream Void
The dream void is the one reoccurring theme I had in my dream. It’s the portal between one part of a dream and another. If I had to put it into words, it looks a lot like deep space, with no planets, suns, or anything tangible. It’s almost completely dark and void, with only a few accidental splotches of dark to light grey color. In my mind, it appeared as two-dimensional. There was no “space” in the void, only nothingness. No room to move around or anything. I couldn’t explore it, because it was literally nothing – just a blank canvas. I had to create something to put on it before I could interact with the world.
My dream occurred in four separate, expansive environments, or dreamscapes, each with their own unique purpose and variety. This void presented itself between each one. Whenever I returned to the void, I could focus and create another world for myself. It would appear almost like a distant photograph at first, and with concentration it would get closer and closer until I could jump in it.
The only real analogy I have for this is that it’s like being the god of your own dreams. You point your consciousness towards a certain idea or goal and your mind manifests it for you. This means that as you improve, you can literally do anything.
And so, as I woke up into lucidity, my old unconscious dream world disappeared, and I experienced this void. It only lasted for a few moments until I found myself in my first dreamscape. And my first experience of flying.
Part 1 – Flying Above the Dream Lake
As someone who doesn’t usually remember his dreams, I’m amazed by how vivid my memory of this lake is. It was the kind of crystal-clear placid lake you’d find in Colorado or a similar vacation destination. There wasn’t even a single ripple on the surface. In fact, here’s an excerpt from my dream journal describing it:
“Suddenly a new world appears before me out of the void. This first dream world seems to appear through no effort of my own. I find myself on a beautiful lake surrounded by trees and mountains. The sky is cloudy but the sun is still shining through. It’s the kind of place you’d see in a vacation magazine.”
I found myself sitting on rather than swimming in the lake. This did not seem peculiar at all to me that I could walk on water. It reminds me of the passage from the Bible where Jesus teaches his disciples to walk on water, and so long as they believe they can, it works. Well, I seemed to have no problem believing I could, so I did.
I was sitting on the water interacting with someone. I can’t remember who they were or what we were saying, but as I was lucid, I decided I’d rather fly than chat it up with some stranger. And just like that, I launched off the surface of the water and blasted into the air!
I was flying! I was really flying!
I still remember exactly how it felt. I was soaring through the air with the wind blowing my hair back. It felt amazing! ..for about two seconds.
The thing about dream flying, much like real life flying, is that you gotta get good at it to have success. After I had about a hundred feet between me and the lake I lost control. I began twisting and turning like an out of control pop bottle rocket. Wham! I slammed back into the lake, but this time into the bottom of the lake. I guess the water lost it’s solidity during my flight. Fortunately, I did not break any dream bones.
Then I returned to the void for the second part of my adventure.
Part 2 – Smashing Purple Bad Guys
Being conscious of the fact that I was dreaming and my ability to do anything, I decided to relive one of my favorite activities as a child – smashing bad guys in violent video games. Gotta love it!
So I attempted to manifest an awesome level full of monsters to blow up. However, still being a newbie at controlling dreams, I got some mixed results. Most of which were pretty amusing.
Entering my new environment from the void, I found myself not with guns – but with huge blunt objects. And I wasn’t holding them either. They were my arms. I literally had maces for arms. “Sweet. Even better than I imagined!” I thought to myself.
I appeared in a side alley leading into a city. I could tell that evil was afoot, and that I was just the guy to do something about it. However, as soon as I jumped out of the alley way to dispense some arm swinging justice, I was met with quite a surprise: all the bad guys were made out of clay. And not only that, but they were purple, and didn’t look too far from Barney the Dinosaur.
Not to let my confusion get the best of me (lest the baddies overtake me!) I started swinging and destroying Barneys and buildings alike. I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was having about as much effect as a kid smashing play-doh, though, and eventually my crusade was cut short as I returned to the void again, this time for something much more meaningful.
Part 3 – A Comment From My Subconscious (literally!)
Unlike the others, this part of the dream seemed to manifest from somewhere other than me. I didn’t create it at all. It’s like my subconscious decided that it was done letting me have all the fun, and it wanted to show me something important.
I found myself in a typical small bedroom, though I’ve never seen it before. The carpet was brown and fuzzy, and there was a bed in the middle with a computer and a chair in the corner. I was drawn to the computer and decided to sit down.
On the screen I found a comment on WordPress, which is the blogging platform that drives this site. I distinctly remember the comment being left by “mr Mrs.” The comment was rather long, and I’ve forgotten the bulk of it, but at the bottom was written two words: EMOTIONAL INTIMACY.
Immediately, I understood what was going on. This computer was actually my subconscious. It’s hard drives represented the database of experiences stored in my memory. My mind wanted to tell me something, so it used things I’m familiar with to get the point across, like a comment in WordPress.
And the message, that’s the most incredible part. Emotional intimacy. I’m amazed at how direct it was. There weren’t any associations to be made or conclusions to be drawn. No mysterious dream objects that actually represent something else. My mind was telling me exactly what I needed in no uncertain terms. I can see why it said what it said too.
I have some great family and friends, but I’m not really completely open with anyone. I’ve never been that way. I’m usually a direct, no-nonsense kind of person. I don’t look down on sharing feelings as wimpy or anything, but I don’t do a lot of it in my life.
Apparently, my personality is getting in the way of one of my most basic human needs. While dreams will often allow our subconscious to tell us what we’re missing, lucid dreaming appears to activate a much more powerful link.
It’s the difference between dial-up and broadband. Unconscious, dial-up style dreaming allows the mind to give us symbols and hidden meanings to figure out if we want to know what’s going on, but it’s pretty slow and inefficient. On the other hand, broadband lucid dreaming gives us a very direct link to that part of our brains. It allows the mind to say, “hey, fool! Look, you need this. I’m going to SPELL IT OUT!” It’s instant. It shows up as soon as you access it.
Thanks, brain.
The fourth and final part of my dream was probably the most amusing. And if you’re wondering what could be more amusing than all the cool stuff that’s happened so far, well, the answer should be obvious: sex!
Part 4 – My Failed Dream Shag
After my visit with my mind-computer, I returned to the void. I decided to complete the experience and consummate my first lucid dream. I returned to the room where I found the computer and tried to summon a lady friend for the night.. and tried, and tried, and tried.
I tried so hard, I literally bent space and time around me. My dream avatar strained with frustration as the floor started distorting and warping. Try as I might, I couldn’t summon anyone. Apparently my dream self was celibate. Oh well.
This was the shortest and funniest of the dreams.
After this “experience” I woke up – in the house I lived in 10 years ago!
Bonus Dream – False Awakening
There’s a common occurrence in lucid dreaming called false awakenings. They’re when you think you’ve woken up, but you actually haven’t. You’re still asleep and dreaming, but you dream that you wake up in your bed. It can be pretty frustrating, which is why you have to arm yourself with techniques to ensure you’re still dreaming.
Unfortunately, my technique didn’t work!
I arose in my old house, in my old room. I had this odd feeling, and I couldn’t tell if I was asleep or awake. I remember reading about a technique to combat false awakenings, where you try pushing your fingers on one hand through your other hand. If it works, you know you’re dreaming.
Well, I tried that, and it.. sort of worked. I actually ended up pushing my fingers so hard through my dream-hand that I saw parts of the back of my hand give way, but it never went all the way through. In my dreaming state, I still wasn’t satisfied that I was asleep. Then I saw my mom sitting in the chair she always used to sit in. We had a few words, though I don’t remember what was said, and I soon woke up – for real this time.
One of the coolest things is that when I went to tell her about my crazy dreams (in real life this time), she also had a dream about me! She woke up laughing and talking about how I was frustrated and doing something crazy, though she couldn’t remember what it was.
In my dream, I was in front of her when I was trying to push my fingers through my hand. Could she have been there, witnessing it?! I don’t know, but it sounds really cool.
Lucid Dreaming is Awesome
As you can see, lucid dreaming is pretty cool. I got to fly like a bird, smash monsters like Duke Nukem, receive valuable information about myself, almost have a dream-shag, and seemingly really communicate with a loved one all in one night.
I owe all of this to to an e-book I got my hands on, called The Art of Lucid Dreaming. Take a look at my review and see what you think.

Way to go Fred! What a wonderful depiction of a lucid dream. I’m so pleased for you!
Thanks Rebecca.
Hi Fred, im a long time follower, first time commenter. I just want to say congrats i myself have been experimenting with the idea of lucid dreams. Unfortunately every time i become lucid i wake up just like that but im still practicing dream signs in my waking life. Sounds so awesome, hopefully with what you have reveled about your experience i will soon be more in control of my own dream scape. Thank you for your insights, and again congratulations!
Thanks for commenting. This is exactly what I’ve been intending lately, for the fine folks like you that read this blog to comment and interact. I love hearing about the experiences my readers have, and I’d like to help in any way I can.
Although I’m still relatively new to lucid dreaming, I found something that works for me to not wake up when I become lucid. Basically, I just relax into it.
When you go lucid, do you freak out and start doing things immediately? That’s what I used to do, and it woke me up every time. This dream happened because I became lucid and immediately relaxed, almost like “counting to ten” when you’re mad in real life. At that point the dreamscape disappeared and I went into the void, and had all these crazy dreams.
Try that out and let me know if it works.
Hi Fred, its andrew again. So I believe last night I finally had a lucid dream, and the beautiful thing about this one was I didn’t wake up immediately after I realized I was dreaming, while i think I do still need to relax more, I think it helped volumes that the initial dream setting was one that was relaxing to me. If you don’t mind ill give you a quick overview of what happened. So as I start dreaming I was napping on my couch in my living room. In the dream I was in a room very much like my home office, however it was more decorated, filled with cultured collectables, things i don’t actually own, In the dream I was reading a book, a with a almost hand made cover with blue cover and teal stitching. I don’t actually own a book like this, and that thought was what made me lucid, upon realizing that I calmly decided to examine the room better, this time the things in the room had changed a little there were different looking nic naks and the sort and their were swords and shields on the wall( things I long to collect but I have a toddler living with me so I don’t). It was at this point I decided to change the seine altogether, I wanted to fly, A feat I am soooo happy to report I achieved, however after a few minutes I was so excited that I believe I caused myself to wake! Happy accomplished and frustrated that I didn’t feel I completely realized my dream potential were how I felt immediately after. Of course now I am just so thrilled with what was accomplished in the dream, I am so ecstatic to have my next such dream, thank you again for your story and advice!
Haha, that’s so great, man! Really interesting that the artifacts you long to collect showed up in your dream, too. I wonder what kind of interesting things we secretly long for can manifest in our dreams..
Flying feels amazing, doesn’t it? I’m glad to have someone I can talk to about it finally. The rest of you people need to get on that flight thing right away. :p
On the waking up front, you may want to try meditation if you don’t already. I was meditating a lot around the time I had the dream written about here, and I suspect it probably helped me maintain the dream. I mean, at one point after my flight I crashed straight up into a bunch of rocks, so if that didn’t wake me.. nothing would!
Good luck!
Yeah it was so damn invigorating, Although I deeply wish it could have lasted longer I honestly could have done it all day.wow you crashed into some rocks and didn’t wake. you are a giant sir! I will absolutely spend more time meditating, I used to do that all the time life has just been more demanding of late!
Again thanks for all your wisdom on this subject and like you said it feels amazing to have someone to talk with about this stuff most of the people in my life wouldn’t understand
That’s awesome man about your lucid dreaming experience. How come you want to fight monsters in your dream? Spend more time on important things like dream shagging or winning lottery numbers.
Since I read Rebecca’s book my dream experiences have been awesome. It’s easier for me to have a lucid dream when I take a nap. Have you tried that yet?
You know, this dream I wrote about actually happened on an extended nap. I woke up that morning around 8am or so because I had to take my mom to the doctor. I only got four hours of sleep, so no REM sleep for me. When we got back, I went back to sleep. I probably slept a total of 6 additional hours, with much of it spent in REM. So this entire dream actually happened in a “nap” – albeit a long one.
Hahaha I know, dream shagging should have been my number one priority. I still can’t believe I summoned putty monsters to fight.. it’s like that Power Rangers movie with Ivan Ooze.
[...] I've had some unusual things happen lately, and I think they may be related. I recently learned to lucid dream and did so for the first time. Today, I was taking a 3 hour nap, and I remember before sleep [...]
I recently had a lucid dream: some people wanted from me that I sign some contract that I didn’t want to sign. I then realized that it is just a dream, so it doesn’t matter if I sign it or not. So, I did sign. Pretty funny, isn’t it:)
That’s funny. So you just gave in and had fun with it? Sounds like a lesson we could all bring to real life – relax a little, it doesn’t matter quite so much.
Fred! I had to share this Lucid dream experience with you. As you may know, I’ve been focused on meditating and the present moment lately – ala The Power of Now.
And, I’ve had success – I’ve reached a deeper level of awareness. Lately, my dreams have been more vivid. And this last one was entirely lucid – I knew I was dreaming. Here’s what happened:
I realized I was dreaming, which when I’ve been able to do that in the past, have usually been the best dreams of my life – sometimes highly spiritual experiences. But I immediately became afraid that it would go away and I’d wake up – and sure enough, as soon as I sensed that, the dream began to fade.
However, much like my “awake” life due to the increased meditation, I was more conscious in my dream as well. I became aware of the fear and was able to extinguish it. And I made the dream re-appear! And kept on controlling it!
It was amazing – it faded out, and I made it fade back in. There is a strong connection to meditation, present moment, and dreaming. I just experienced it first-hand.
Wow, that is awesome Louis. I’m glad to hear that your dreams are following your waking experience. What did you end up doing in your lucid dream?
I had the exact same thing happen back when I was really in The Power of Now. I wrote about it in this thread: http://www.stevepavlina.com/forums/psychic-paranormal/56768-incredible-dreams-through-meditation.html
It was like I was an alien, Avatar-style. It was just beautiful and amazing. Even though we were being chased, there wasn’t an element of fear in it at all.
For a while there I thought everyone dreamed this way – I’ve been Lucid Dreaming since I was a kid (I’m 48 now). My dreams are a bit more fine tuned … I can astro project (to the past, present, future and other countries) and that gets scary! I know that sounds ridiculous but that’s what I do. You MUST have control over these dreams in case you ‘go somewhere’ you’ll know how to get back. It all fun and games until you see something ugly. So much to say about this subject …
It would sound ridiculous to me, except I experienced it first hand (astral projection). God, it was REALLY scary. I’d love to hear more from you. I’m going to shoot you an e-mail, thanks for the comment.
Occasionally I would “wake up” in my dream, meaning that I became aware I was in a dream. The first thought that invariably came to my mind was to start flying. Sometimes I could fly over buildings but it needed a lot of mental effort. I would will myself to go higher but usually I just flopped to the ground, and then I would wake up (in real life).
Flying definitely takes practice. I flopped down into the lake pretty quickly, but luckily it didn’t wake me up. It did end that section of the dream, however, and took me to the “dream void.” I haven’t actually read anything about such a void, so I don’t know if others experienced it. Have you seen anything like it in your lucid dreams?
Interesting post.
Congratulations on your lucid dream. I’ve had a few, and I’m still looking for a method that helps me to have them more frequently. I like to Astral Project out of Lucid Dreams, but I seem to get sort of stuck when trying to project to specific places. I do think eventually I’ll have more control and it’s definitely an entertaining process to go through even without the control.
Why thank you.
I accidentally stumbled upon astral projecting while learning to lucid dream, actually. It was quite scary to say the least, but now that I know what’s going on, I’d like to do the same as you and get more control of everything.
My best advice for a simple way to increase the amount of lucid dreams you’re having is simply to intend for it to happen. When I go to sleep and want my dreams to become lucid, I’ll imagine myself dreaming, and realizing it’s a dream suddenly.
In fact, even when those don’t result in lucid dreams, the dreams I do have are always more elaborate and interesting. Worth a shot methinks. Thanks for commenting!
Sounds interesting! Especially to try those that we can’t do it in real life, like the one you said: fighting monster in a dream. Haha
Fun.
I had lucid dream before, but not too much, most of the time, when I realize it’s a dream, the second after would be my wake up.
Perhaps I should learn more like Fred did, in order to have more fun in dreams. Haha.
Haha, I’ve had a lot of those dreams where you realize it’s a dream and immediately wake up. I’ve found that the key to not waking up and enjoying a lucid dream is to not freak out when you realize you’re dreaming. You have to really remain calm and get used to everything.
And yeah.. fighting monsters was pretty cool!
Congrats on your first legit lucid dream. I’ve had a couple myself and in two I was flying, that is such an awesome feeling. I only wish I could have these dreams whenever I desired instead of having to wait on random occurrences.
It feels so awesome, doesn’t it? If you want to be able to do it whenever you desire, try checking out The Art of Lucid Dreaming ebook. That’s the one that caused this dream, and it has a lot of great tips.
Something simple to do that works for me is intending to lucid dream while I’m going to sleep. It seems to greatly increase the chances that I’ll go lucid, and even when I don’t, I have really interesting dreams nonetheless.
Thanks for the comment Todd.
yes you are right, its amazing to be able to control ones dream
Thanks for this post! I had my first one last night and it was the most insane experiance ive ever had. I had heard about it before but never really put that much interest into it, but after lastnight I had to research this. It really is undescribable in lots of ways, and i hate trying to tell my friends because I can tell they doubt it. Mine was so much like yours in some ways that it freaked me out reading it. I also had the dream void, the subconscious message, the failed created intimacy, and false wakeups very close to how you described it. In the false wakeup, I tried to turn on my room light and the light was delayed, then i slapped my face and it was numb so i knew i haden’t woken up yet. My subconscious message told me not to touch drugs anymore, as i had recently tired mdma twice. It told me i could experiance identical highs in my dream without harm, and i got them. The only difference was I had some really terrifying parts when i breifly thought of a fear and it came true, then many more came. although i knew they were fake, its really scary. Anyways i dont want to ramble on about my dream, its hard not to haha. Thanks again for posting this, it helped me sooo much
Hey Mike.
That is just awesome! That’s crazy that yours was so much like mine. Maybe the first lucid dream always carries some similarities?
And it’s definitely totally weird. When I tell most people about this, or especially about my astral projection experience, they tend to not believe me. Not much you can do, other than to get them to try it if they’re open minded. It’s like talking about ghosts or something to them.
I haven’t actually tried mdma, though I want to eventually, probably only once. I’ve heard it’s not particularly healthy, but not so harsh that it will mess you up if it’s only a few times.
I had something similar to what you’re talking about when you had the scary parts.. but not in a lucid dream. It was a normal dream, and there was bickering going on. Just usual day-to-day squabbling over random stuff, when suddenly I realized that I was allowing the drama to happen, and I became very present. I generated such a state of intense presence that I woke up immediately. It was like a tsunami erupted out of the dream, and it exploded into nothingness.
That was when I was really into getting over my self-created drama and monitoring my thoughts, but maybe you could do something too. I’ve heard of people encountering scary things and realizing that they’re not actually real, and defeating them. Maybe that could help you get over real life fears as well.
Thanks for posting, and feel free to ramble some more if you wish. I love reading about people’s dream experiences.
Sorry I’m late to this lucid dreaming party. I was thoroughly entertained reading about your first lucid dream, Fred. Seems really long for a first timer! I had a few, but I haven’t had any for a couple of years now and I’d love to get back into the swing of things. Anyway, one of mine was a message from my Higher Self or subconscious, if you want to call it that. It was displayed on a moving sign in a bar and it said: “Trust in yourself.” It was really profound to me at the time and I was taken back by how clear and direct the message was, and I carried it in my mind for a long time, and it helped to keep me going. Love them dreams, eh?
Hey Lena,
That’s really interesting. It’s amazing how incredibly profound things can just be spelled out in front of you in a lucid dream. I had no idea that I was going to get the input I did, but there it was in big bold letters.
Speaking of strange phenomena, I want to get more into astral projection. That’s one of those things that I never would have believed in if it didn’t happen to me. During my lucid dream trial, I started spontaneously projecting at night. It actually wasn’t that comfortable – as I didn’t want to be doing it – but I bet it would be easier if I read up on it and really decided to do it. Do you have any experience with astral projection?
Thanks for stopping by. I’ll be over to check out your website soon.
Fred, astral projection was my main area of interest a few years ago, when I started actively “working” on my spirituality. I read a dozen books and tried out different techniques. Some of the benefits for me were: 1. Experiencing first hand myself outside of my body, affirming existence of spiritual world beyond doubt. 2. Seeing some of my guides, which strengthened my communication with them somewhat. 3. Experience with trance states/meditation. I haven’t tried for a few years and the main reason is that my guides weren’t wild about me spending so much time out there and not enough time living my life. I’m sure there is a more balanced way of approach the subject, but I tend to do total immersion with my interests. It’s giving me a brilliant idea though to incorporate more of the dream stuff into my work. I could experience with it as a 30 day trial. I do have a client tomorrow I can try it out on. The main problem with using dreams for psychic information is that they are somewhat unpredictable, so you can’t make a guarantee that you will have it for a customer. Thanks for hosting my ramble of the day ha ha Feel free to get in touch with me about astral projection.
Lol, no problem.
That’s really interesting, I will get in touch with you about that. I’ll share some of my experiences with it as well, maybe you can help.
I’ve never had much success with dream sex, and I’ve tried quite a few times. I can summon a girl easy enough, but it never feels that good. Just like you don’t feel pain in dreams, it seems like sexual pleasure doesn’t really happen in them either (at least in my experience). I wonder if some sort of tantric heart-to-heart sex is possible though.
Andrew Gubb recently posted..Sex and Spirituality
“and I’ve tried quite a few times” – LOL haven’t we all?
Hmm I don’t know. Would the heart-to-part stuff bring you closer to yourself?
For me, and I’m just talking about regular dreams here, but it does feel pretty good. Except that it’s always too short. I wonder if there is a self-help group for learning how to last longer in sex dreams?
try to look at yourself while at this state. its very hard to remain conscious when you are in the “dreaming” state at the present plane. by practicing this you can improve the power of your consciousness.
there are entities out there (dream catchers)that hate people exploring the higher dimensions because of the information that you might find. they will use a bunch of tactics to get a hold of your frequency and will cut it. they will most likely use beautiful women to distract and lure you in. i fell for that a couple of times. of course not all pretty ladies are dream catchers, but most of them are
there is a war of consciousness going on out there
those (purple people) were PHOENICIANS. you can google it. the key to understanding the universe is the secret they are protecting. when you are out there..FIND IT! ive been back and forth the chaos. its fun to play their simulation games and open world.
but we have to find this information that they want all for themselves!!
Haha, that stuff sounds pretty cool. It reminds me of conspiracy theories.
I’m not going to pretend like I’ve done any research on the matter, but it seems strange that high vibrational beings would want war with each other. Aren’t they supposed to have it all figured out? I’m a lowly human I don’t even want to fight anyone at this point. It seems like we are projecting some of our animalistic natures on various different things, including the dreamscape, in this case, and making up a bunch of stories about it.
Or perhaps you’re right. What you said about looking within yourself in the dream state reminded me of dream yoga. I haven’t lucid dreamt in a while, but I’ll try it if it happens again. The closest I’ve gotten lately was the other night when, for whatever reason, I thought I was using my imagination instead of dreaming. I was flying over a bunch of beautiful nature type stuff, including lakes, forests, and the like. I think it’s interesting that when I woke up, no matter how hard I tried, the vividness of my imagination could even come close to what I experienced in the dream.
I wonder why our imaginations are so much more potent when dreaming?
well, everything in our mind is elevated during sleep because our brain is not focused on doing any physical work. and with the power of consciousness we can explore the possibilities even out of body travel, visualizing and telepathy. all of this you will naturally pickup when you are in tune with yourself because you have to get to know your vehicle OR else you might get lost of this connection with your body and might not wake up..yikes
in order for me to prove this to myself i have to share it with someone. and i did.when im able to feel their frequency i enter their dream. people that i am close to and i show myself to them and they say they have a clear picture of me in their dreams. personally i only told one person about this(my ex)in her dream she was sitting on a raft on a river and i was paddling it i kept looking at her and she has no idea,i tried to take her to a higher plane but she fell down the river. when she woke up i told her about this and she did not like it at all she said “there is no way, how did you know?” or something like that. she later then said that dreams are personal…and i thought she seems right that its personal.
nature has a strong frequency since it is all around us. you can enjoy yourself because its fun and clam. the real deal however is the galaxy. its overwhelming
these guys have been protecting a family secret. it is sacred to them and they dont want just anybody to utilize it. remember not to fear because fear is their main weapon for turning your experience into a nightmare especially if its so vivid and feels so real.
the frequency got a lot stronger just last year. thats really strange because it felt monotonous for a long time. the ones not struggling are well asleep. because if you have been awake in a dream and traveling. you are already fighting.
the truth? time will tell
You really entered someone else’s dream? That is amazing! I’d like to get better at this kind of stuff, like lucid dreaming and astral projecting, and enter someone else’s dream… I bet it would freak them out.
I can agree on your thoughts about fear. Fear tends to bring that things toward us, and is in general an outdated emotion (in most cases anyway). Conquering it will make us so much stronger.
I also like what you said about our mind not being focused on physical activity, and nesting stronger. That helps explain why our dreams are so much more vivid than our imagination.
You’re right, time will tell. Thanks for commenting.
I’m writing a blog for training myself to lucid dream, I have been practising the skills and techniques it takes to acquire a lucid state for about 6 weeks now.
I’m very interested in the topic and would thoroughly enjoy and exeriences you have had with lucid dreaming and would greatly appreciate if you could share any hints/tips/experiances with me. my website is http://myluciddreamdiary.blogspot.com/
I am honestly interested in the matter and not just after hits and views or whatever stuff website runners want I just want to get in touch with others who hava passion and interest for the dream world. i have been keeping a diary that has proven quite scary if anythnig because some of the interpretations within the dream book have fallen into place
.
thank you for your time.
Fantastic experience. I think that lucid dreaming is simply divine. I read my first lucid dreaming book back in 1994. Back then it was a revelation to me. I had never heard of lucid dreaming before.
Since then I read many other books about lucid dreaming and had fantastic lucid dreams as well.
From my own experience, though I think that lucid dreaming is like jogging. If you quite practicing your “waking” exercises to make sure that “next time I am dreaming I will become aware that I am dreaming by recognizing the signs”, you become out of shape and lose the “lucidness” again. It takes some work!
Lucid dreaming requires efforts, but it all worth it!

Yeah, I think you’re right. I was into lucid dreaming for a while, but I haven’t done much lately. But there have been nights where I decided to do as I did before, and intend to lucid dream. And even though there was a tangible change in my dream, it wasn’t lucid. I think it does require the waking exercises as you said.
By the way, would you mind sharing some of your lucid dream experiences? Or direct me to an article if you have it on your site? I love reading about that stuff.
Thanks.
have you tried some psychedelics or mushrooms..ayahuasca? have you ever had an ego death? some really powerful “lucid dreams” produce almost the same effect as a mind blowing psychedelic trip. some people are not aware that the mind evolves too. whether you see lucid dreams as a mere dream or a bizarre phenomenon if you are really interested in this, one thing leads to another and that is a life changing experience. the deeper you look into it the more it gets weird to the point that it becomes real to you.
most people i know though under the trance react as if its the first time that they can see, they go bat shit insane. theyre like “OMG I AM DEAD”. some in denial but the strong ones embrace it.
i mean if the experience looks real, it feels real, then what the fuck is real?
The only psychedelic I ever tried was DMT. That was the first and last one, though not for the reasons you might think. It’s funny that I started out with one of the strongest psychedelics for my first trip.
I haven’t done any sense simply because I haven’t had any available, I don’t seek them out. I’ve also since moved on from that group of friends. I don’t know if I would do it anymore, simply because I don’t have any desire to. Although I think it can be healthy and even a bit enlightening to do it, especially for someone whose mind is already a bit open to the unreal and strange.
Anyhow, I haven’t gotten to the point where I think those dreams are “real”, although I understand your line of thinking. I have no idea what is real. I actually probably agree with you – that subjective experience, if anything, is what is real. Is that what you’re saying?
From that line of thinking, lucid dreams are, well, whatever I decide they are. I suppose they are indeed fairly real.
Wow, I had the same about the dream void you experienced this night after I was trying to get out of a dream in my dream! It was completely grey, just nothing, and like you said 2d like somehow.
Hah! Were you lucid dreaming? it is a very strange thing indeed…
